Hi, I’m Kari! I am a student and writer, who is deeply curious in learning about how culture and society intersect! I am particularly interested in exploring themes of East Asian cultures, language studies, and global issues. Through this blog, I research and write about topics ranging from education systems to social, cultural, and political issues. Join me on my journey as I share what I find out about these topics along the way.
I also cover issues closer to home, including public policy challenges such as homelessness in San Francisco and the urgent mental health crisis facing young people today; these are issues that I care deeply about and feel personally connected to.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me practicing ballet, K-pop, and Chinese classical dance. I enjoy watching Korean-dramas, or diving into the latest research on East Asian history and culture.
